Opening : Software Engineers

Location : Ashburn, VA(May be relocated to unanticipated sites throughout US)

Requirements : M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or rel/equiv. +2 years exp as Software Engineer, Technical Architect or related. (Or BS +5 yrs. exp.)

Responsibilities :

Define, design, construct, integrate, test and support software solutions addressing business opportunities. Analyze business process requirements, infrastructure plans, effort estimations, user needs, and systems requirements to create specifications for applications and determine feasibility. Code, prepare, test and implement matrices, POCs, RFPs, prototypes, programs, and data interfaces. Design interfaces with other applications and systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes. Assure that application designs are consistent with industry best practices and application attributes (including scalability, availability, maintainability and flexibility). Communicate high-level technical functions and requirements; decompose high-level information into details and document well-defined, testable acceptance criteria. Ensure code review and system testing are completed. Coordinate and confer with clients and stakeholders for integration testing, UAT, and project capabilities and requirements. Perform status tracking, reporting and business case creation. Modify existing software to correct errors and ensure its adaptation to new hardware or improve its performance. Deliver and deploy the test plan. Review test artifacts including test plans, test scenarios, and test cases. Develop software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for about capabilities and requirements. Coordinate, install, and monitor equipment functioning. Obtain and evaluate information on reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine hardware configuration.
